Adriana Schor, the founder of the studio, explains, “Our goal was to strike the perfect balance between sophistication and approachability, creating an ambiance that feels refined yet inviting. By completely redesigning the apartment, we achieved a new equilibrium, optimizing the space while preserving its original charm and incorporating modern touches.”

Spanning 92 square meters, the apartment now boasts a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, achieved through the use of natural materials, soothing colors, and smart dual-purpose design elements. One remarkable feature is the series of custom-made mirrors that cleverly separate and connect the living and dining areas, adding depth and cohesion to the space.

The design team chose a clean and neutral backdrop, restoring the home's original moldings to a pristine white and introducing oak parquet flooring in a diagonal pattern. They crafted custom joinery from unpolished oak, American walnut, and travertine to add a touch of luxury and functionality to the interior.

A captivating berry red motif, inspired by a Tracey Emin painting, adorns the off-white walls and weaves its way through the rooms. This rich hue ties the spaces together with painted archways, curtains, trims, upholstery, and decorative elements, featuring various textures like bouclés, tweeds, and velvets, creating a harmonious and layered feel.

Adding a personal touch to the design, the client's own sketches were framed and displayed above the living room fireplace, bringing an element of playfulness to the overall scheme.

The result is a charming and quintessentially Parisian residence that pays homage to the building's architectural significance and historical roots, while simultaneously embracing a fresh and contemporary outlook for its new chapter.
