Middle Eastern designs have swept the runways of Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, with kaftans making a distinctive presence in the collections of global fashion houses. Some designers presented more than one kaftan, catering to Arab women who can now easily find what suits them on international runways.
Some designers paired embroidered kaftans with belts, as seen with designer Sara Chraibi who showcased them during the recent Haute Couture week. Wide abayas were one of the standout trends at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. In addition to the precision embroidery that characterizes couture fashion, some brands chose to adorn their Spring/Summer 2024 abayas with prints.
